I was in expert hands when I spoke with Dr Luca Trenta, an Associate Professor in International Relations at Swansea University in Wales. We covered everything from researching to writing Her Secret Service, finding time to focus on Kathleen Pettigrew, the MI6 super-secretary who inspired Ian Fleming's Miss Moneypenny character, before moving on to Jane Archer and Kim Philby. There was also time to discuss the new postscript in the recently published paperback (2026), which details a new treasure trove of documents found after publication.
